Auschwitz
Read Time:1 Minute, 6 Second

I took pictures during my Auschwitz Birkenau tour and the best way to show them is in Black & white

The gates to Auschwitz with the ironwork inscription Arbeit Macht Frei
Block 11, also known as the prison within a prison!
Guard Post between the blocks
The yard between Block 10 and 11 where thousands of Polish prisoners were shot in the early years of Auschwitz
Block 10 where sadistic experiments were conducted by Nazi doctors
Electrified barbed wires separated the blocks
A walking path between the Fences
The Blocks on the left and Administrative Offices on the right
The gallows where Hoetz was hanged in 1947
Exit from Auschwitz
The Gates of Hell at Birkenau
Train Tracks with ramps on the rigth
Watchtower looks over the train tracks and ramps
The Barracks, there were around 300 structures which could house 100,000 imates
The sleeping bunks where inmates slept five to a bunk.
The toilets area for the inmates, there was no dignity in Birkenau!
Cattle Cars used to transport people to Birkenau, they had no proper ventilation and were sealed from the outside!
Guard Blocks were set up at all corners of the large complex
The memorial built in later years
Destroyed Gas Chambers
The remains of the burnt barracks the brick chimneys still stand
